When you escape from your cruel reality to the world behind the TV screen just to feel the freedom you believe was taken from you, yet you have made this escape your safe zone that you don’t want to leave even if given the chance, because you don’t want to disturb the sense of security it provides.

Whether you choose to interpret “I Saw the TV Glow” literally or search for the deeper meanings within it, you will ultimately realize that the worst thing you can do to yourself in life is to remain trapped within the bubble of your comfort zone out of fear of  changing what you have grown familiar with.
